Science of Skin: Solution for Scars Review

science of skin solution for scars review
As someone with quite sensitive skin, it can be really difficult for me to find products that are effective and work really well, without damaging and irritating my skin. I’ve tried countless different products, from some of the well-known cheaper ones and even a few expensive and designer names. My skin is prone to breakouts and even acne, which will leave scars. There are a few notable products on the market which help remove scars without causing damage, and I’ve discovered another one that works for me.

Science of Skin developed Solution for Scars* which really is a solution for scars. It combines ingredients from science and nature which reduces the appearance of scars but also soothes accidental cuts and injuries, surgical scars, stretch marks, sporting scars, post laser surgery scars and bumps and grazes. I’m usually quite cautious when it comes to trying new products on my skin because the reaction can be terrible; however, knowing the formula contains Green Tea extract proves it’s created to be effective.

Green Tea extract is naturally effective for skin, hair and general health. It’s used to heal and improve which is exactly what Solution for Scars does. I didn’t expect results immediately, as sometimes that can make a product seem quite disappointing. I’ve been using the product for around 5 weeks, and so far I’ve started to see some improvement. My skin isn’t perfect, and acne has created the most damage on my face; but I will be doing a “Skin Story” post in the near future which will also include this product and a deeper look into how I cleared my acne.

I have used Solution for Scars on my face, lower back, arms and knees (where stretch marks are visible). I’ve found a little bit of the solution goes a long way, and the product isn’t greasy so I can apply it at night without worrying about it messing with my skin before I go to sleep. Immediately, there was no irritation with my skin, and I found this to be the case over the last few weeks. The product promises to reduce the appearance of scarring and soothe irritable skin. After a week’s use, my skin was a lot ‘calmer’, and hardly broke out. Although the occasional spot did appear, the Green Tea extract definitely took effect, and creates a shield-like element which is what I think helped shrink any scars. It’s also incredibly hydrating, due to its natural ingredients.

Luckily, Solution for Scars is fragrance free – the smell of Green Tree is definitely not one of my favourites. Overall, I’ve really enjoyed using Science of Skin’s Solution for Scars and will definitely continue using it until the scarring on my skin is basically invisible. I’ll also continue using it to keep irritation on my skin to a minimum and diminish the chance of breakouts. I would definitely recommend this product, especially if you’ve been trying to find a way to heal spots and scars for a while and had no luck.

Have you ever tried this product? What did you think?

  3. Never tried this or heard of it before to be honest, I don't really have many scars so it's not really necessary for me but if I ever do get a nasty scar I'll keep this in mind.
