This pair of boots were my first ever Chelsea boots. I jumped straight onto the band wagon and followed bloggers and celebrities into the leather phenomenon. They're comfy stlish and easy to wear which makes them one of my favourite airs. On a busy day, I lean towards these boots as they aren't too tight-fitting and have a flat but very sturdy sole for me to rush around in. The shape fits my feet perfectly as they're not a wide fit but still leave plenty of room. The basic style helps them pair well with just about everything I own.
I tend to wear these boots to quite formal events, because they can be easily dressed up. The ontrast in heel and material fives them a bit of edge and adds the small contrast in colour to a look. Fortunately, the suede looks great against tights which have helped these boots become a winter favourite. And who doesn't love suede? The heel is high enough for the to be worn with casual attire as well as a much less colloquial setting.
I was first reluctant to purchase these boots due to the pointed toe and unique look. Pointier toes always make feet look longer in my opinion, which is something I have always been concious of. However, paired with jet black or even charcoal jeans they highlight the best in a black on black look with the tiny details in the boots making the outfit seem more exciting and put together with minimal effort. The leather isn't shiny which means it doesn't contrast with common fabrics such as denim or jersey. I love that the boots pair well with dresses as well as jeans, as it's quite difficult to find an ankle boot style that's so versatile.

Gravitating towards darker clothing during this time of year is only natural. I absolutely love to wear all-black, just because it's one of my comfort colours so I tend to feel a lot more comfortable and confident in the colour. Today I couldn't help but pick a few darker pieces, but tried not to go all-black by including my check or flannel jacket and playing around with different textures. Leather usually looks to darkest in comparison to denim or cotton so I think mixing these up can make an outfit look less... black. Charcoal jeans are a wardrobe favourite of mine so they had to be included in today's look as they also match my jacket. I actually bought my zip-up in the summer during a sale and colour never find much to pair it with. However, this 100% cotton vest top is perfect. The top is very thin, and my jacket is quite loose so there's room for me to layer within the outfit for warmth. Finally, I wanted to match my suede shoes with the suede patches on my oversized handbag to complete the look.
Handbags And Gladrags

As I young girl I used to be obsessed with handbags. It's all I was know for during my first few years of secondary school. During one year, I had a different school bag ever week and the collection continued to grow. Style-wise, this wasn't my brightest period, my idea of classy or glamour was anything with a metallic tint or a well-known brand stamped on the side. I even remember carrying a bag made by Apple Bottom because the song Low by Flo Rida featuring T-Pain was incredibly popular at the time. 2007-2009 are years I can only look back on to laugh, cringe-worthy is an understatement. However, since that time, I have always adored a good handbag no matter what the size. I recently bought this Fiorelli tote from TK Maxx, where Fiorelli bags are very popular. This is my first Fiorelli bag, and so far I can't stop carrying it. The faux leather is very high quality which gives the bag really good structure and makes it easier to carry and keep organised. The splash of blue, which is in the same place on both sides adds colour to my winter wardrobe which seems to consist of a lot of greys and blacks. This is definitely my favourite purchase of the month!
